A time of peace

The images from Gaza are unviewable. Yesterday I saw a mother explaining to a journalist why her son was a mere skeleton.

Today I saw a father carrying what was left of his eight or nine year old child, bits of leg hanging off. I also saw another father carrying his child of perhaps five years old, with his or her brain hanging out and his skull half empty. Then the perfectly formed four year old killed by thermobaric bombs. Half of the population of Gaza is children.

I saw three sheep targeted. I saw a skinny white horse targeted by an Israeli sniper with a load on its back. And another horse on the ground after his hind legs were blown off. Again carrying an impossible load. He turned his head to see the carnage of his legs under the upturned cart. Then he flopped his head back down to quietly die.

What kind of evil is this that targets sentient beings?  That intentionally targets electricity and poisons water supplies, solar panels, hospitals, schools, journalists, doctors and starves newborn babies, while making plans for selling beachfront properties and gas licenses.

We are meant to stay quiet in case we get accused. But the time for being quiet while we luxuriate in our own comfort is long past. Nothing is worth being silent. Or were those words you spouted about “Never Again” just words? We are not mere spectators. Britain and America are directly complicit in facilitating this genocide of children on an industrial scale. Boycott, Divest, Sanction. We will never stop talking about Palestine 🇵🇸.
